Frederick Douglass inspired mural painted along a 80ft long mural. Work is on 14th Street DC at KVS TITLE @kvstitlellc back in 2020. Worked with KVS principals Claudia and Dave in the process. Though not widely known Frederick Douglass was also a businessman owning more than a half-dozen homes. To add to the titles of statesman, orator, freedom fighter, abolitionist, Frederick Douglass was an awesome example of African-American homeownership and entrepreneurship. These homes were predominately in Washington, DC / Baltimore area. The sampled Image is him as a younger man. Piece explored themes of homeownership, community and celebrating big life moments.
